Access to and from the Enterprise Zone to different parts of the city is key for visitors and staff alike.
The improved bus reliability and real time information at bus stops introduced as part of the Greater Bristol Bus network improvements are already proving popular. Surveys show that more people are using buses in the area and that satisfaction with bus services is improving, helping to reduce congestion across the city.
Campaigns to encourage more people to use sustainable ways to travel to work – by walking, cycling or using public transport once a week – will help to reduce the number of cars on the road allowing deliveries and public transport to be more reliable.
The planned Rapid Transit will connect residential areas to the Enterprise Zone providing a reliable, high quality experience for commuters, with clear information and smartcard ticketing allowing fast boarding with minimal delays.
The Network will connect places where people live with places where people work, in the north, south and east and west of the city. Potential time savings are forecast to be at least 10 minutes, and up to 90 minutes over some of the longer services.
