A car park within the Enterprise Zone will soon close for redevelopment, making way for a proposed new hotel for the city.
The car park directly behind the side entrance to Temple Meads station will close on Friday 1 April 2016.
The Homes and Communities Agency is developing the land to prepare for a proposed high-end hotel to move onto the site, plans for which include comprehensive conference facilities. This could be a real asset to local businesses and the wider city, and create more jobs and opportunities within the Enterprise Zone.
Alternative parking can be found on the right hand side of The Friary as you approach the mini roundabout from the Temple Circus Gyratory. However, this is limited; alternative local car parks can be found on the Bristol City Council website. Some of the closest local car parks and their capacities are listed below:
- Temple Gate – 45 spaces
- The Grove – 113 spaces
- Portwall Lane – 170 spaces
- Redcliffe Parade – 35 spaces
We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this redevelopment work.
