This is a preview of the Spatial Framework presentation, which was first unveiled to delegates at the event held on 3rd October. Please note that the images shown are for illustrative purposes only and are not a masterplan for the Enterprise Zone.
The Spatial Framework is being developed by Bristol City Council as part of its simplified planning measures to give greater certainty of outcome to developers. It aims to bring the Enterprise Zone to life and connect it to the surrounding parts of the city, showing the potential with an exciting blend of office space, residential areas, a new arena and improved road infrastructure.
The Framework will provide a coordinating structure for the urban design of the development and the integration of infrastructure, setting parameters and performance standards for quality places and guiding detailed masterplanning of development sites.
At this stage, the Spatial Framework is still very much a work in progress. A consultation draft of the Framework is due to be ready in Spring 2013.
