First it was Inkie, then it was Luke Jerram and now we have ‘A Platform for Art’ at Temple Meads station.

Bristol artist and creative coach Lisa Malyon has produced a series of large scale prints from her Built in Bristol series and they are now being displayed on Platform 7.

Lisa says: “I was asked by Jon Watkins, Director of the South West office of R.I.B.A. (Royal Institute of British Architects) to submit an exhibition as part of their ‘Love Architecture’ festival last summer.  Aiming for somewhere unusual and quirky I approached the Station Manager of Bristol Temple Meads and decided upon Platform 7 as there were three prints already on display  by artist Ros Ford and thought my work would compliment hers.”

The project has now featured on the website for Love Architecture 2012 and Love Architecture 2013 and the artwork is set to remain on Platform 7 for the foreseeable future.
